Bikes for the Trail hire bicycles suitable for use on the Munda Biddi Trail
BIKES FOR THE TRAIL
From our headquarters in Albany, 'Bikes for the Trail' hire mountain bikes suitable for exploring tracks and trails including the Munda Biddi Trail. We hire quality dependable bikes and equipment and can supply itineraries and maps suited to your level of cycling commitment.
The Munda Biddi Trail
The Munda Biddi ('path through the forest' in Noongar aboriginal language) trail was the inspiration for setting up 'Bikes for the Trail' as we wanted to create a reliable but affordable means to ride along this wild track. The track winds along the coast and through the forest between Albany and Perth. Parts of the track are quite remote and basic huts are provided for camping always in spectacular locations. In other places the trail passes through country towns where there are various types of accomodation available. For details of routes and photos of trail facilities go to the Munda Biddi Trail Foundation and Follow my Ride websites. Depending on how much time you have, we have different suggestions of how to enjoy the southern half of the track either by return trips, traveling further along the track and returning by bus, or pickup and return to Perth via the Munda Biddi Shuttle Bus. Tackling long stretches of the Munda Biddi trail needs some planning as at times you will be some distance from well traveled roads. Dependable, sturdy gear is essential.
